4. Key Strategic Intervention Projects

The key strategic intervention projects that will meet the needs of clients are:

1. Refugee Children’s Intervention Project

Refugee Children’s Intervention is the core project of RCP. It primarily focuses on delivering services aimed at ensuring that accompanied and unaccompanied or separated refugee children realise their full potential. The project aims to integrate children into local schools & communities.

Their psychosocial well-being is just as important as their physical health. Immediate protection and assistance are therefore provided, using a two-pronged approach, within a rights and community-based framework, with targeted actions, and solidly premised on mainstreaming gender equality, age sensitivity and diversity.

RCP prioritises the need of unaccompanied and/or separated refugee children particularly during asylum application process. Key interventions constituting part of this project includes temporary placement in foster families or for the appointment of State or non-state guardians, family searches and reunification. Close cooperation with other organizations and Governments in countries of asylum and of return is crucial for positive tracing and reunification results. RCP monitors these interventions to ensure that children enjoy full protection and realises their potential.

2. Women Intervention Project

This intervention project aims to ensure the successful integration of refugee women by enhancing their levels of safety. The Key interventions constituting this project include arranging of temporal shelters; facilitate access to health, economic, social and other resources/services.
